My Life List-March 20th Edition

LOOKING OUT MY WINDOW....

Today I see SPRING! The sky is blue and the sun is bright!! Current temperature is 74* This is what I call a nice, spring day. Yesterday our temperatures reached 90* Unheard of for this early in the year! Sure hope this is not an indication of summer to come.

AS I PONDER....

I am still harboring a "big" surprise! It's probably not going to fulfill the hopes of 'many' of you out there in blogging land but it is huge to us here at my house!! I will share with you all as soon as I can!

WHAT I AM LEARNING...

I am still learning all there is to learn about creating altered books. I cannot wait to get started on this process. But for now I will just keep learning!!

WHAT I'M READING....

I am reading in a dark, dark wood by Ruth Ware. So far I like it. I am also continuing with my other daily reading selections. I stopped listening to the book I was listening to. Just not enough time in the day!!

WHAT I'M WATCHING...

I am currently watching Press Secretary Sean Spicer hold a briefing follow the FBI director confirming that YES Russia was involved in the 2016 election. Let the deflections begin!!

WHAT I'M HEARING...

I am hearing the washer spinning in the other room. I will soon need to transfer clothes to the dryer. That is my goal for today.....laundry!

WHAT'S ON MY CAMERA...

Always sending granny a snapchat

Peace!

Got her hair highlighted

WHAT I'M DRINKING....

Ice cold water is the drink of choice today!

WHAT'S HAPPENING IN THE KITCHEN...

Monday...Hamburger steaks with mashed potatoes

Tuesday...Chili dogs (this girl will never get her fill)

Wednesday..Santa Fe Chicken Salad

Thursday...Ham and cheese sandwiches with lettuce and tomatoes (another Harley request)

Friday...Homemade Pizza night

Saturday...Caesar Salad

Sunday...don't know yet if Harley is home!

A QUOTE I WANT TO SHARE...

I'm fighting yet....

Currently, I am fighting for peace in my home!

A peek into my week...

This week I am catching up on some chores here! And getting ready for a road trip soon to Oklahoma to see family. This will be our first trip away since Richard died. I think we are due!!

A final thought...

Isn't it wonderful when spring finally comes? I love having the windows open and a cool breeze blowing through. I do NOT love having the A/C turned on. Is anyone planning to see Beauty and the Beast??

  1. I want to see Beauty and the Beast, too.

Spring came to Maine, too, it was 44* and sunny today!

  2. GN and I went to Beauty and the Beast on opening day at 8:00 a.m.! I had my windows open a bit here today too. It was about 55° when I did that, but the fresh air was worth it! Yea for your road trip! You have the car to do it! Harley is a beauty.

  3. I am not seeing Beauty and the Beast, not because of any controversy or boycott, just not enough hours in the day to do it all. How fun with the road trip! I know what you mean about running the air conditioner, was hoping for more days of not running it. Oh well. Looking forward to hearing news when you can share it.

  7. It's cold and damp and foggy. And speaking of opening windows, mine are filthy. I am waiting for a warm day so I can wash them.

  8. I hope to see Beauty and the Beast but will need to wait until it is available on NetFlix. We don't go to the actual movies anymore. Too hard for my husband. Miss that.

  9. Beauty and the Beast has always been a favorite of mine, as a child. The absolute best was the disney Beauty and the Beast animated. The music everything. I fell in love with the Beast. I won't see the new movie because I am loyal to the other one and I don't like remakes - It would be like going to see the remake of Gone with the Wind - Ain't gonna happen

  11. Dang, I wish I felt comfortable enough to open the windows at night. 'Always concerned about break-ins or (more likely) one of both of our dogs hearing something and barking up a s***storm in the wee hours.

Speaking of dogs. Is that, perhaps, your big surprise!? Your blog friends could even throw you a cyber puppy shower!

    1. I guess I am just too old to keep worrying about such things. What will be, will be! No a dog is NOT my big surprise!!!! OMG that is not about to happen for now. It's hard enough to take care of a teenage girl. I don't need to throw a dog into the mix!! LOL

  12. It's strange to hear of your temps in the 90's. Here we finally went above freezing and may see 50 degrees later this week. Nice you have a trip in the future. Here I'm just trying to settle into my new place. That seems enough for me for now...It's going to take awhile.

  13. I'm jealous of your warmth! We had some warmth but it went away. Tonight's low as back down at freezing.

My latest drink of choice is chrysanthemum tea. My tea connection in the local market kept recommending it each time I stopped by, and finally I gave in and got some. Then I looked into the health benefits and I am hooked!

    1. Do the seasons coincide in China? We are back today to being more cool! I am not much of a tea drinker!
