Thursday's Question

It's the week before Christmas (10 days) and all through the house....

My house needs picked up, dusted, vacuumed, clothes folded and put away, some laundry needs done, and today is 'pick up the groceries' day. Yes, I am still using and loving Clicklist!! Thank you Dillons for the best gift in 2016.

Speaking of gifts that is what we will talk about today for Thursday's Question. I want to know:

What is your favorite kind of gift to give?
What is your favorite to receive?
Are you finished with your shopping?
Are you stressing? Or enjoying the season?

That's it! Share with me today in the comments. And have a wonderful weekend!

    1. Your recipients will be very lucky to receive those carvings! I love homemade the best too. Especially good things to eat or drink!

  3. I think my shopping is done. If not, too bad. I really don't want anything. I certainly don't need anything. I am starting to stress about the weather as I have grocery shopping to do and food gifts to deliver.

    1. Our weather is supposed to change this weekend to snow and ice. I have my groceries for the rest of this week and part of next. I haven't grocery shopped for Christmas yet!

  4. Give: Something you know someone really wants but they aren't sure they are going to get it.

Receive: Just being together with those I love. Have all I need, don't really want any more possessions.

Not finished yet with shopping but hope to by this weekend. I really need just an hour or so to get it done so I'm not stressing :)

    1. I agree with you on the receiving end of things Betty! I have enough stuff now! I am giving my teens money. That is what they most like. Then I will go shopping with them to spend it!

  5. Give money although this year I bought a little necklace for her and packed it in $1's. There is nothing i need except to be with family. Online shopping is done. No real stress anymore. Make try a new grocery supermarket as Winn Dixie don't seem to be in any hurry to reopen after the flood. The one I am switching to was flooded to 6 feet and already rebuilt and back on line and 4 miles closer

  7. I like to give something the recipient will like but if I'm stuck I'll give vouchers. I don't like giving money because it can so easily be swallowed up and not used as a gift.
I don't mind what people buy me unless it seems they've been totally thoughtless.
Finished shopping? Not yet. Stressed? trying not to be lol
Yes I'm enjoying the season. Bought a few bits today to make the house more Christmassy. A garland for my stairs. Some lights and a couple of poinsettias. Hopefuly I can keep them alive until Christmas day at least.
    Have a good weekend Paula.

    1. Money is what my g-kids ask for. They use it up quickly anyway. They usually know exactly what they are wanting to buy! I hope you have a good weekend too, Wendy!

  8. Giving? I reallllly try to discover something I know they'll like with that I (feel) they'll not indulge in.

Receiving? That's a toughie; I'm already so blessed. You know what? I'll love anything that comes from someone taking the time to say/write, 'I saw this and thought of you.' Crazy, but I LOATHE gift cards or flowers. To me, that's the lazy way out.

Yup, I'm done! 'Having the 11th-hour guilt trip: "Did I do enough?" but wise enough to pour another glass of wine and forget about it. There's enough stress at the workplace to trump any holiday.

    1. So many things that people would not give themselves, isn't there. And that makes such a great gift!! I don't hate gift cards or money. I, sometimes, like just getting what I really want. Of course, if it was Richard giving me that he would D.I.E. (not really) I am so sorry that you have so much stress at your workplace. I wish you could retire and enjoy life!!

  9. I've given up on Christmas this year, I think. I just can't deal. And school doesn't get out until the 22nd...

Give: I like to knit. And I haven't done any of that this year (for gifts. I've knitted plenty of other things).

Receive: The other day a kid asked me what I wanted for Christmas. And I had no answer. Luckily, we were in the midst of something else, so I avoided the question that way. But I have a feeling a meltdown (mine) might have happened if I had had to actually answer. I. Have. No. Idea.

Finished shopping? Ha ha ha ha ha. I haven't even started. I'm thinking I'm skipping Christmas this year.

Stressing? Actually, not. I just kind of don't care. For a while I thought I was in denial. But I'm coming to the conclusion that I'm over it.

    1. I'm sorry Liz! I know just what you mean about giving up on Christmas. I have wanted to do that too. Many times! Just try to enjoy little bits of it. That is my plan!

  10. Having my family together at Christmas is the best gift I can get. Sadly there are usually a few missing. I love to give home made gifts, but this year I didn't have time to make anything.

  11. Am I stressing or enjoying? I guess that depends on the moment you ask the question LOL

  12. My favourite to give and receive is something I know the person has mentioned and wants. Something that indicates the giver put thought into it and listened throughout the year. I am not quite finished my Christmas shopping but I've wrapped most of my so-far purchases. The tree is still under the stairs in storage :(

    1. I haven't anything to wrap. And I am enjoying my tree. Best to you Susan
