What are three things you would want to have with you on this deserted island??? There will be plenty of food in the way of crabs, fruits, and fish. You have to survive alone for at least a week. What do you want in your backpack?? Three things....1, 2, 3!

Waterproof matches, a Swiss army knife and a blanket!
ReplyDeleteGood answers!!
DeleteJust to show how shallow I am...my first thought was Frank, followed by my nook and computer LOL
ReplyDeleteI don't find that shallow at all. I don't know about the nook and the computer though. What happens when they need recharged. And what about wifi??
Deletemy pillow, my ipod for music and switchblade
ReplyDeleteGreat! I hope your ipod won't need charged while you are there!!
DeleteBible, flashlight, matches.
ReplyDeleteHot here, but its Phoenix, LOL.
betty
Love it!! Make those matches waterproof. I think I'd take one of those butane candle lighters!!
DeleteWhat, no coconut? :)
ReplyDeleteMy Kindle Fire, an auxiliary battery and a BIC lighter.
Of course there will be coconut. I just forgot about them. We might have to climb trees. Or shake them hard if there aren't any on the ground. Great idea thinking about an axillary battery! I'd want it for my Nook.
DeleteA couple gross of matches, lots of butter and plates.
ReplyDeleteGood thinking Joanne. Butter would be good!!
DeleteBooks, toilet paper, soap
ReplyDeleteVery good choices. I would bring books too!
DeleteOh, I hate these questions! My brain isn't up to the task.
ReplyDeleteOk! Sorry! Didn't mean to task your brain::
DeleteHi Paula - fresh water to wash the salt off, palm trees with some shade ... the in the pack suncream, books and a solar rechargeable ipod ... or some such thing!
ReplyDeleteCheers Hilary
Solar rechargeable is a great idea!! And yes we would want some fresh water!! Until we could figure how to boil our own!!
Deletemy initial thoughts were a good book, a photo of loved ones and pencil and paper. Yes I know that's technically 4. It did occur to me that electronics wouldn't be much good after a day or so but I wasn't as practically minded as some people lol
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on a few good books!
DeleteA book, my knitting and a tent.
ReplyDeleteAh yes, a tent!!
Deleteone of my favorite books (a big one) that I love to read over and over; flashlight with a life long battery; lots of fresh drinking water....
ReplyDeleteI was going to put coffee too - but if I had water, I could smash something up to make a form of coffee!
Linda in VA
I don't have any books that I read over and over! But coffee is a great idea!
DeleteI would take the Wegner Giant 85-tool 141-function Swiss Army Knife, a solar-powered desalination unit, and a shovel.
ReplyDeleteWonderful ideas here Gram!!
DeleteMosquito netting, a big pillow and my camera:)
ReplyDeleteYes, yes, and yes!!!
