Thursday's Question
Time for this nosy old blogger to ask you a question! One that might make you think a bit! Or one that you know the answer to straight off the bat! I just like to hear your answers.
If you were given a choice between being given great wisdom or great wealth, which would you choose?

Great Wealth so that I could send a whole bunch of kids to college who wouldn't normally get to go:)
ReplyDeleteGreat answer! Wouldn't it be awesome to be able to do that??
DeleteI would be like Solomon in the Bible. He chose wisdom over wealth. God did bless him with riches too, but even if I didn't get the riches later I would still choose wisdom.
ReplyDeleteBetty
That is a good analogy Betty! Thanks!!
DeleteWisdom - then I'd be able to work out how to generate the wealth ;)
ReplyDeleteGood answer!
DeleteHi Paula - wisdom and some wealth! Cheers HIlary
ReplyDeleteExactly, Hilary!!
DeleteTo be honest at this time in my life I would choose great wealth! I don't need wisdom anymore and great wealth would sure make life much easier! But then I suppose you need wisdom to know how to hang on to that wealth!
ReplyDeleteYes, wealth would sure make life easier!!
DeleteI'd go for wisdom. Wealth doesn't do much good if you don't know what to do with it.
ReplyDeleteI bet I could figure out what to do with it pretty fast!! Hahaha
DeleteRight now, great wealth. Then maybe i could pay off this house before I'm 99
ReplyDeleteGlad mine is paid for. I just want enough to live on without worrying all the time!
DeleteGreat wealth. I already have great wisdom ;)
ReplyDeleteLOL!!! That is the best answer so far today!
DeleteI'd choose Great Wisdom, and (hopefully!) parlay that into great investments.
ReplyDeleteThat way, I could enjoy both!
Yes, you could. I already think you have Great Wisdom!
DeleteYou know...I've been in the fence about this since I read your question earlier this morning. You know what? I would take the wealth! Then I could at least go out for coffee once in a while . . . to Ireland or Brazil! :-D
ReplyDeleteAnd if I chose Great Wealth then I could join you for that coffee!! Or even at the back fence!!
DeleteThat would be so awesome!
DeleteYes, it would be! Maybe someday!! Who knows? We can dream!
DeleteI would hands down take the wealth. Then I could hire wise people to manage it for me!
ReplyDeleteSo true!
DeleteGreat wealth for sure: I'd use the money to learn how to be wise! :)
ReplyDeleteMichele at Angels Bark
LOL! Yes you could!!
DeleteI would take great wealth! I'm already wise - LOL! Just kidding... not about the wealth, but about being wise...tee hee!
ReplyDeleteLinda in VA
LOL! I feel the same!
DeleteWisdom because I could use it to gain great wealth.
ReplyDeleteThat is a really good point!
DeleteOh, boy! Let's try to be honest. I know I'd be better off asking for great wisdom. But the way we have struggled for so long, I'd be willing to bet I'd end up saying great wealth. But part of the reason for that is because I've always wanted to be able to just secretly make good things happen for people who are having hard time financially.

I would take the great wealth too. I am tired of being poor!
DeleteHmm - both have their attractions - but I have met some very wealthy people that I certainly wouldn't want to spend time with so I think I would choose wisdom - far better in sorting out life's struggles and bringing up children :)
ReplyDeleteSpecial Teaching at Pempi’s Palace
That is a valid point!
DeleteAt this point in my life, great wealth. No contest. It's something I've been always curious about. I wonder what are the lives are like of people who are extremely rich.
ReplyDeleteIt would be fun to find out wouldn't it?
DeletePaula Kaye, I want to thank you for visiting my blog (Lone Wolf Concerto) and reading my post about Marilyn Monroe. You mentioned that you hadn't seen any of her films. Three of my personal favorites are "Don't Bother to Knock" (a drama where she plays a psychotic babysitter), also "The Seven Year Itch", and "Some Like It Hot".
ReplyDeleteWealth or wisdom??
I've known many wealthy people when I lived in Hollywood and most of them were unhappy - - but I'd still prefer wealth to wisdom!
Thank you Jon! I will look into seeing those movies sometime! I prefer wealth to wisdom myself!!
DeleteI was blessed with a high IQ. Went to college on a scholarship and have had two great careers. I saved and now enjoy a good standard of living. I grew up poor but I would still choose wisdom over wealth. I like that I earned what I have.
ReplyDeleteI grew up poor too. Very poor. I will take wealth over wisdom anytime. Wisdom is something I already have!! LOL
