Thursday's Question

Time for this nosy old blogger to ask you a question! One that might make you think a bit! Or one that you know the answer to straight off the bat! I just like to hear your answers.

If you were given a choice between being given great wisdom or great wealth, which would you choose?

  1. Great Wealth so that I could send a whole bunch of kids to college who wouldn't normally get to go:)

  2. I would be like Solomon in the Bible. He chose wisdom over wealth. God did bless him with riches too, but even if I didn't get the riches later I would still choose wisdom.

  5. To be honest at this time in my life I would choose great wealth! I don't need wisdom anymore and great wealth would sure make life much easier! But then I suppose you need wisdom to know how to hang on to that wealth!

  6. I'd go for wisdom. Wealth doesn't do much good if you don't know what to do with it.

  10. You know...I've been in the fence about this since I read your question earlier this morning. You know what? I would take the wealth! Then I could at least go out for coffee once in a while . . . to Ireland or Brazil! :-D

  15. Oh, boy! Let's try to be honest. I know I'd be better off asking for great wisdom. But the way we have struggled for so long, I'd be willing to bet I'd end up saying great wealth. But part of the reason for that is because I've always wanted to be able to just secretly make good things happen for people who are having hard time financially.

  16. Hmm - both have their attractions - but I have met some very wealthy people that I certainly wouldn't want to spend time with so I think I would choose wisdom - far better in sorting out life's struggles and bringing up children :)

  17. At this point in my life, great wealth. No contest. It's something I've been always curious about. I wonder what are the lives are like of people who are extremely rich.

  18. Paula Kaye, I want to thank you for visiting my blog (Lone Wolf Concerto) and reading my post about Marilyn Monroe. You mentioned that you hadn't seen any of her films. Three of my personal favorites are "Don't Bother to Knock" (a drama where she plays a psychotic babysitter), also "The Seven Year Itch", and "Some Like It Hot".

    Wealth or wisdom??
I've known many wealthy people when I lived in Hollywood and most of them were unhappy - - but I'd still prefer wealth to wisdom!

  19. I was blessed with a high IQ. Went to college on a scholarship and have had two great careers. I saved and now enjoy a good standard of living. I grew up poor but I would still choose wisdom over wealth. I like that I earned what I have.
