If you know me then you know I like to ask questions. That is how I get to know you. And believe me I want to get to know you. And you! And you! So, every week, on Thursday I like to ask a question. And you, my friend, get to give me the answers!! Okay!
Are You a Rule-Follower?
Or do you like to bend them?
Or break them?
You and your questions, Paula!! I feel I have to do quite a lot of soul searching when I come to answer them :) My initial reaction was I'm well behaved I don't break the law but I know that I'm also a bit of a risk taker so I have to "bend" rules sometimes too! I'd never do anything I'd consider wrong but I don't hold much truck with silly rules and regulations either. I do feel I have a good moral compass so that steers my decisions on certain matters - rule abiding or not :) So does that answer your question or leave you more confused than before???

I love to ask questions!! I am not a risk taker at all so I guess you can say I am a rule-follower! Especially when those rules are laws!
DeleteI love questions like this and you are right, it is a good way to get to know someone better.
ReplyDeleteI am usually (95.9%) a rule follower. The ones I bend are the ones typically I make (like won't lend son anymore money, LOL, and then he calls asking......). I don't intentionally speed but I have been known to go faster than the speed limit. My brother was a rule bender and got into a lot of trouble. I adopted being good years ago so that my mom wouldn't have to stress out too much :)
betty
Yep, I sometimes break my own rules too!
DeleteHi Paula - I'll follow the rules if I have to ... but if I think something's ridiculous then I'll wander my way round, or take a different route ...
ReplyDeleteI conform if I have to ... but prefer the independent path .. cheers Hilary
Sometimes there are ridiculous rules, aren't there??
DeleteI try to follow the rules, especially those that keep us safe. They were made for a reason.
ReplyDeleteYes, important to follow rules that keep us safe! Even if we don't like them. Like wearing a seatbelt!!
DeleteHi Paula. I like to follow the rules but sometimes I tend to bend them or take a short cut if I can. Hope you have a wonderful rest of the week. :) Great question.
ReplyDeleteThank you Stacey!!
DeleteI pretty much am a rule follower but it depends on who is making the rules! I am a law abiding citizen but here at work I tend to balk against the ridiculous rules people seem to invent! Especially when the rules involve work that they know nothing about! Such is life in the corporate world!
ReplyDeleteI would imagine life in the corporate rule can get tedious! A hospital is much the same!!
DeleteI'm a rule bender, depending on the rule. Now laws I abide.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on laws!
DeleteI would have to say I'm a rule follower, especially when playing games. Cheaters make me angry! ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog. Following you on Bloglovin :)
LOL! Yes, cheaters can be a challenge. I have been known to cheat a time or two in games, however!
DeleteI follow along my own path
ReplyDeleteYes, you do Bro!!
DeleteSo boring ... but ya, I'm a rule-follower. You should hear me when motorists blithely disregard those stop signs in grocery/shopping center parking lots. (Well, maybe you shouldn't!)
ReplyDeleteI am exactly the same Myra!!
DeleteDepends on the rule.
ReplyDeleteAmen to that Liz!
DeleteOh I usually bend the rules in my favor.:)
ReplyDeleteHahahaha!
DeleteI am a rule follower. Even when I try not to be.....I still am.
ReplyDeleteMe too Wendy!
DeleteDepends on who made the rules and if the rule-maker has a definitive impact on my life and/or paycheck. Know what I mean? ;-) And then sometimes one has to break 'em on the spur of the moment and say sorry later.
ReplyDeleteHahaha! I like your answer. You are a feisty Gram! I have to say I am a rule-follower. Not very adventurous here!!
