Dear Friday

Dear Mother Nature: Please, please don't rain on Saturday. That is Darian's graduation day and our party following. I would like to set up some outside tables.

Dear Battery-Operated Weed Eater: 
I love you so much. So much more than the electric one with the long, long extension cord. And so much more than the gas powered one which I could never start! But, dang you died on us too early today. Back to finish those weeds tomorrow.

 Dear Darian:
No more high school! No more looking back. It is all looking ahead now. Early morning graduation practice and then to the grocery store. Once more you need to vacuum the living room for me. Then Monday begins your job until you ship out in November. Isn't this adult life wonderful??

 Dear Justin:
Very proud of you and the award you won last night! Even with that beard you are the most handsome man I know. And I love this picture with my beautiful granddaughter!!

    Congrats to Justin for his award! Congrats to Darian on his graduation! I too hope the weather is pleasant for your celebrations today. My niece graduated today from college; she was at the Ringling College down in Florida. I remember the "anguish" she and her parents had 4-1/2 years ago picking the right school for her with the ones she got accepted to and the prayer we all put in for it. My sister sent a picture of her graduating and I sent back the usual congratulations and the thought "now she enters the working world" Similar to Darian, but he, like my niece, I am sure will do really well!

    I hope the weather is beautiful for Darian's big day. "School days, school day. No more golden rule days..." Seems like it goes by in a heartbeat, sometimes, doesn't it? Are you gonna need some tissues for Darian's graduation? Did you need tissues last night for Justin? Congrats to both men. Enjoy your weekend!

      Thank you Gram. We had a nice day! Sadly, the "mother" showed up at graduation which brought him a tiny stressor but he handled it well and shook it off. At least she wasn't dumb enough to show up at the party!
