It's time to Hodgepodge. Head over to From This Side of the Pond to copy the questions and follow the links. Now let's see what Joyce has for us today.
I don't really believe there is such a thing as luck! And if there is then I rarely have any of it!
2. Not counting your own backyard, what's a favorite green space in your town, city, or state?

The lake at DNC |
3. How do you make your life more complex than it needs to be?
I make my life more complex by worrying. I wish I could give it up. But so far I haven't been able to.
4. I read here the three places you should visit with friends. They are-New York City, Hawaii, and Amsterdam (rent a bike, walk along the canal, visit one of their world class museums). I felt the need to expound on that one. Moving on...Of the three places listed which would you most like to visit with friends? What's one place not on the list you think should be visited with friends?
If I had to chose from those three places I would chose to visit Hawaii with friends. No other reason than I love the beach! I have visited many places in my lifetime with friends and I would return to Bangkok, Thailand in a heartbeat!
5. What's the last live performance you saw? On a scale of 1-10 (with 10 being best) how would you rate it?
Now this is hard....I think the last live performance I have seen involved grandkids in school plays. And of course I would rate that a 10!
6. March 14th is National Potato Chip Day. Are you a fan? Your favorite flavor? Besides potato, what's your favorite chip type of snack?
Yep, potato chips are my weakness. Especially with a tub of plain sour cream. Plain ripple chips! Or a Dorito chip will work too!
7.What rule is most important in your home?
The most important rule at my house is:
DO AS I SAY!
8. Insert your own random thought here.
Tomorrow is ST. Patrick's Day. And my friend Myra's birthday! Everyone head over to her site Respice, Prospice and wish her a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I am cooking a corn beef and we will be eating Reuben Sandwiches. What do you do to celebrate??
Ha...what a great rule! No messing around with that one! I'll gladly wish your friend a very HBD! I've never heard of dipping chips in plain sour cream...interesting!
ReplyDeleteOnly way to eat potato chips as far as I am concerned. Thanks for wishing Myra happy birthday!!
DeleteI will spend tomorrow saying "DO NOT PINCH ME, I'M WEARING GREEN!" - not much of a celebration, I know. If I remain unpinched, I will certainly be happy, though!
ReplyDeleteThe DNC looks so beautiful. Oh, to live near nature and water!
How exciting that you have been to Bangkok!!!
One of the last really big trips Richard and I went on ended in Bangkok before flying home. Loved it!
DeleteAwwww, thank you for the shout-out, Paula!
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering if the Dillon Nature Center is where y'all picnic'd recently? (Is picnic'd even a word?)
My hubby eats potato chips w/ plain sour cream all the time!
Wow, Bandkok! Won't you share a photo (or several) sometime?
I will have to dig through photos to find some. Those were back in the days before digital cameras at our house. Hope you are having a smashing birthday today!!
DeleteTo celebrate, I make Irish Stew and Soda Bread and play my CDs of Irish tenors. When GN was younger, we had to build a leprechaun trap the night before. It was new to me, but we figured it out together. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteStew and Soda Bread sounds yummy. I never built a leprechaun trap!! But it does sound fun
DeleteThat nature centre looks lovely and I love your rule. Have fun tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteMost important rule at my house!
DeleteI don't celebrate St. Patrick's Day. I'm kind of a holiday grinch; I find reasons to grumble about most holidays.
ReplyDeleteLOL! I am sorry!!
DeleteI totally think you need to come visit Nova Scotia!! That nature center is beautiful, do you ever go over there? We don't really celebrate St. Patrick's Day, though we used to do some fun stuff with the kids when they were little ( and I do love shamrock shakes at Mcdonalds!
ReplyDelete(scream) It's Ellie!! Yes, it would be wonderful to come to Nova Scotia! Sadly, I probably won't! But we can dream. How the heck have you been my wonderful friend!!
DeleteI am okay, just too busy for my own good! I will email you this week!
DeleteOh I can't hardly wait!!
DeleteWhat a pretty place to live so close by to! I'm way too fond of potato chips myself; they are basically banned from this house. We don't do anything for Saint Patrick's Day, but do remember wearing green when I was in school so I wouldn't get pinched :)
ReplyDeletebetty
Sadly, I don't go over to the Nature Center as often as I could. Darian likes to fish there. And his girlfriend and him walk the trails!
DeleteHappy St Pats Day Paula
ReplyDeleteRight back at you!
DeleteThanks Denise!
ReplyDeleteOh, I agree about the places to visit: I love New York City and am dying to go to Hawaii and Amsterdam! Also love potato chips: my favorite are the Kirkland Kettle chips. Add the spinach/artichoke/parmesan dip and I'm in heaven~
ReplyDeleteMichele at Angels Bark
Amsterdam would be nice! And that dip sounds divine!
DeleteI dropped the ball last week on making the rounds, so am trying to catch up before a new one rolls in. Your friend Myra seems so sweet. She has left me some very kind comments. And a reuben sounds so good right about now!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been able to make it around to all the blogs either since I had company. Myra is a really sweet, sweet woman!
DeleteI think once you see a pattern of being blindsided over and over by life, you sort of give up on "luck". I'm with you on this! Hope you have a sweet and calming week with little bits of beauty always finding their way into your heart through your eye.
ReplyDeleteYep, I gave up on luck long ago. I make my own luck! I am wishing you kindness and calmness too!
