Remember that show from years ago? Fear Factor? They would have to do weird things like this too. No amount of money indeed! I don't think I could even get one down me. Now if I was very hungry, like in the event of a catastrophic event that happened in the world and food was scarce, then maybe......
I certainly wouldn't do it for money but yes if we were in such a desparate position that required eating them for survival I guess I might. But with my eyes closed and trying to imagine they were something else!
Considering how easily I gag, I don't know if there is any amount of money that would make it worth it. Unless the were cooked and covered in chocolate. But probably not even then.
I could eat them, if assured they have no intestinal tapeworms, as they often do "in the wild." I've always maintained that shrimp, which I love, are nothing more than ocean-going insects...my entomology classes at university were some of my favorites, and the professors often ate insects.
For my Christian friends, remember John the Baptist lived on locusts and wild honey, and the Old Testament mentions swarming flying insects that also jump as a clean food item - !
no no - oh and no..... I was thinking the same thing as Jennifer - if they covered them in tons of chocolate - I might be able to do it! But even then, it would take a lot of money!! I'm getting the heebie jeebies just THINKING about it - less alone - DOING it - LOL!
I love to hear what you might think. Leave me a comment. I guarantee though that I will delete your comment if you are just here to cause trouble. So tread lightly!
yuck, no amount of money could make me eat a bowl of crickets.
ReplyDeleteNot even a cool million??

ReplyDeleteFor sure!
DeleteOh Lawdy, noooooo way! (Would that $ qualify as 'ill-gotten' gains?)

Yes, I would only want good, healthy crickets to eat!! LOL And you are right about the Bible! How things have changed over the decades!!
DeleteThree fingers of sherry, world peace and a million bucks and then I'm in!
ReplyDeleteI'd do it for a million bucks. Or at least I'd try hard. Maybe even for $20,000!
DeleteI guess if I were hungry enough I would pay someone else so I could eat them.
ReplyDeleteHaHa! Good answer!
DeleteNot sure I could, to be honest, for any amount.
ReplyDeletePerhaps billions of dollars. And if they were smothered in chocolate (the crickets, not the billions).
LOL! I think I could for enough money!
Deleteno no - oh and no..... I was thinking the same thing as Jennifer - if they covered them in tons of chocolate - I might be able to do it! But even then, it would take a lot of money!! I'm getting the heebie jeebies just THINKING about it - less alone - DOING it - LOL!
