The Ramblings of a Former Caregiver
Sing along with it?? How frustrating though!betty
LOL! Good idea Betty!
Take out m yearing aids.
Now that would work. Unfortunately I have excellent hearing. Or fortunately. But not when there is a cricket nearby!!
Good one Myra!
Go out the next morning, blasting opera music and feeding as many as I can find to the chickens!
Great idea Ellie!!
This reminds me of a hysterical night I once spent with my friend and her husband in their bmobile home. And the night long quest to find and kill the cricket by her husband that was in their bedroom... I finally heard this loud smack (I was in the living room) - and then "Got the sucker"! LOLLLL! I get crickets in the family room every winter that won't shut up! I sit there yelling out - shut up shut up shut UP! Like that is going to help - ha!Linda in VA
I did yell shut up, shut up, shut up!! LOL!!
Find something to drown out the sound. Although, that might defeat the purpose.
That' was the problem Liz. NOTHING drowned out the noise!
Hunt it down and teach it sign language! But hey, remember Buddy Holly? He formed the American rock and roll band called The Crickets. Do you think your cricket was singing "That'l be the Day?" That was the first #1 hit single of The Crickets! Did you lose a lot of sleep?
Next time a cricket is annoying me I will start singing "That'll be the Day"" LOL
I live in the country. Frogs croak, bats scratch, crickets chirp and dogs bark...I sleep through it all
Good for you!! But hopefully none of those are in the corner of your bedroom!! I can ignore them IF they are outside!
Ear plugs is a good answer! Except I leave my TV on all the time and the darn cricket was louder than the TV!
Invite the cat to "play."
That would work. But I don't have a cat at my house!!
I'd find it!!! We had one and I went on a quest, flashlight and all. It was a challenge, but I found the little sucker.
I tried to find it. I just couldn't!!
last month one was in the house, sounding as loud as the smoke alarm! Tore the boot room apart looking for it, finally narrowed the hiding places down to a basket of last winter's hats & mitts on the very top shelf. Put the entire thing outside & went to bed. Lol!
I love to hear what you might think. Leave me a comment. I guarantee though that I will delete your comment if you are just here to cause trouble. So tread lightly!
