The Ramblings of a Former Caregiver
Lovin' your traditional fireplace and the mantle, Paula! Maybe I've been watching too much HGTV remodels, but it makes me sad when they go knocking out or painting over that lovely brick.
I have thought many, many times about painting the brick. I am going to paint this room a lighter shade....beige of some sort I think and maybe the mantle and the woodwork white. As long as it takes me to get started on a painting job though I may be in a nursing home before any changes get made. Except in my head. Those are the easiest changes to make!!
Your mantle looks great.
Thank you Liz!
Love the snippets of your day! So cute with the mantle!!betty
Thank you Betty. It feels good to be back to myself again!
Hi Paula - I've been around .. and these snippets are great. Well done on all you do - cleaning the fish tank and moving it was a pretty good snippet to include ... it looks good in the fireplace .. unless some fire-roasting is needed sometime! Take care .. all the best - Hilary
There will not be any fire roasting needed here. I don't like inside fires. Richard used to love the fireplace. But now it's all up to me! So therefore I filled that black hole with a fish tank!! Good to see you. I keep visiting your blog but haven't found any updates lately. Hope all is well!
Your mantle is pretty! The fish tank looks very cool in its home. Love that quote!
I love the fish tank in the fireplace!! Super cute Fall setup. I am ready to start on my Holliween decorations. It takes me weeks to get it ready for party. I love painted fireplaces. It gives it new life and brightens things up.
I can't wait to see pictures of yours. I am sure it will be quite a bit different.I cannot decide what I want to do with this fireplace. For now it houses my aquarium!
I've never seen someone put a fish tank in the fireplace, but I think it's pretty darn cool. Unless you plan to light a fire. Then, not so much.
LOL! I won't decide to light a fire. I got the idea from a couple I knew who did it with their fireplace!
I haven't even started thinking about decorating for Fall yet.
It's okay Wendy! I only did because I still had the 4th of July stuff up!!
I love to hear what you might think. Leave me a comment. I guarantee though that I will delete your comment if you are just here to cause trouble. So tread lightly!
