For all of you who are interested in seeing my new Happy Planner I am going to show you a few pictures. Remember I am new to this! So they are not professional. Maybe they never will be. But it makes me smile to open my planner and see how pretty it looks. For August I stuck with a pastel theme. In September I am going to do a primary color theme. Then fall colors for October and November and Christmas for December. These are the weekly pages in the planner. If you would like to see a planner page by page you can go here and watch the video!!
This is what a un-decorated page looks like
This is my current week. The top row of boxes are for my personal things. Row two is for things I need to do or places I need to take kids. And in the bottom row is my menu plan. The add in sheet is my grocery list! I am sure it will change as I go along. It is not very busy yet but that will soon all change.
You are so creative, Paula! This is totally different than what I first imagined. Color me envious ... then again, I'd still be stuck on square one, waiting for Immaculate Direction. :)
I really am not very creative at all. But it is kind of like scrapbooking but I don't have to feel guilty if I don't do any. It is still a planner and I can just write my stuff in it. I like decorating it though! I think maybe doing it with Harley is what really drives me!!
It is cute and different than I was thinking when you were mentioning it. I can see why it would be so useful to keep track of things; so much fun to put together!
I love this Paula!!! I'm so glad you found something to do that's both fun and helpful. I want a planner too. Thanks for sharing some snippets of this! Hope you have a great day friend
Oh my goodness! Myra's comment made me snort laughter. Immaculate Direction on square one indeed. Maybe that's why I bought that magazine Daphne's Diary for inspiration. I'm afraid my planner is very boring. Oh well. It gets me to work on time and picking up my granddaughter at the right place and time. (thank goodness!) I'm glad to finally have a peek at yours, though. Now I can picture it when you write about it. Glad you and Harley are having fun.
Myra is a hoot! I just love her! Yes, a plain journal will keep you on time and where you are supposed to be when you are supposed to be there. But every time I open my Happy Planner I smile. And right now I needed that in my life!
How creative! I like the way you are incorporating colors and designs to differentiate the months and seasons. This would definitely be a way to ensure that things get done. So much more than just a typical To Do list...It's your life in color! Beautiful! Michele at Angels Bark
I love to hear what you might think. Leave me a comment. I guarantee though that I will delete your comment if you are just here to cause trouble. So tread lightly!

ReplyDeleteLet me know what kind of planner you get Holli. I am having fun with this one. There are so many out there!
DeleteI love scrapbooking and have all the supplies. I should look into making one of these.
ReplyDeleteYou should Wendy! Harley and I are having a blast
DeleteI just love the look of this! It looks like you have everything in one place now.
ReplyDeleteThank you Melanie. And it is fun to have it all in one place now.
DeleteI had no idea what to expect from what you'd said about it--now I can see why you love it so much! It's fantastic! The personalization is the key.
ReplyDeleteI understand, Kwiz, that many teachers use these kinds of planners. Erin Condren (which is much more expensive) actually has some just for teachers!

Thanks Michele! And it is fun to boot
DeleteIt looks like a scrapbook!
ReplyDeleteVery cool and artsy. I just buy planners from Dollar Stores.
It is kind of like a scrapbook. More like "scrapbooking". I am sure a Dollar Store planner works great for you. I am having fun with this one!
