Friday Letters February 6th Edition

I'd love to have you join me for Friday Letters. You may copy and use my postcard if you like. And sign the link-up too. Or just write your letters and tell me in the comments so I can come and read yours.

Dear Old Man Being Loaded onto Ambulance today at Grocery Store: I hope you'll be okay. It took my breath away when they carried you out on the gurney. The top of your head reminded me of my dear Richard! Godspeed to you.

Dear Harley: I know that your birthday has passed but with a wonderful dinner planned and your favorite ice cream cake ordered it will still be your birthday on Saturday.

Dear Trivia Crack: Yes, I know that Sports is my worst category. You don't have to remind every single time I play. And, really, some of those questions in Art?? They aren't really about art!

Dear Mother Nature: I know that it is February. But 9* yesterday and 64* tomorrow. I am beginning to think you might be suffering from a split personality disorder.

Dear City Workers Who Pick Up My trash: How hard would it be to leave the poly-carts in the yard and not in the street. I don't put them in the street when I take them out to the curb. Just put them back where I left them. My neighbors who have to drive around them will thank you for it.

Dear Fidelity: Come on already. Get those form 1099's out to me. I want to file my taxes.

Dear Blog Commenter: (and you know who you are) Don't leave anymore comments on my blog. I won't publish them. And God Bless you! You aren't really as intelligent as you think you are. In fact just the very things you write make you look like an ass. I am not sorry to see you go.

Because I am having some issues on this blog for now I will be moderating my comments. I hate to do this. But I don't want to deal with this dude anymore.

  1. So sorry to hear about the problem with a commenter. Good idea to monitor comments! I thought everyone was supposed to get things out for taxes by January 31st. I hope Fidelity gets their act together so you can file when you want to.

    1. I thought that too. I have called them and they told me I just needed to be a bit patient! So I'll give them a couple weeks

  2. It sounds like you've had a week! I also hope things turned out well for the man heading to the hospital, and hope Harley has a great birthday dinner. Wishing you a terrific weekend!

  6. I love these, Paula! I'm working on my taxes this weekend. I think I have all that I need :). It was freezing this morning and will be 70 by noon. Crazy. I agree about the split-personality weather disorder!

    1. We all get them at some time or another. These weren't really so much as inappropriate as I just didn't want this guy hanging around my blog with some of his incredibly stupid ideas.

  8. Grrr, my reply got zapped!!!! I really hope that man will be okay. I hope Harley has a wonderful birthday dinner! You know, I can barely understand my taxes here in Canada, but the U.S. system totally mystifies me! I'm sorry you have had to deal with the commenter. My son has a YouTube channel and I make videos on his channel as well when he is busy working, and we have had such awful comments, just so rude. It makes you wonder what on earth is going on that makes people think they can write what they want ( part of it is anonymity, the other part is they are full of it). You don't need people like that in real life, let alone online.

    1. That is why I chose to just delete this person. He wasn't really mean or cruel. He was just undermining whatever I was saying. That alone means I don't need those kind of people in my life. Getting rid of the negativity is sometimes necessary for change

  9. Love the way in which you're handling 'rude dude'! It's a real shame people feel they can take liberties in cyber space they wouldn't dare do face-to-face. Good riddance!
Your diagnosis of Mother's Nature's personality disorder just cracks me up! Looks like we're back in the 80's for good this time; I'm already sad at the thought of having to put up my sweaters and hoodies.

Moving right along .... I hope Harley's birthday celebration tomorrow is super fun for all!

PS - I'm 'just about' ready to do my first link-up with Friday letters.

    1. I saw that you were in the 80's today. I was so jealous. I have Phoenix's weather on my phone screen just to remind me there is warmth somewhere in this freezing country! Thanks for linking up! Love you to bits Myra!

  10. Yes, Mother Nature is a bit wonky these days for sure. Sorry about that commenting thing you are experiencing. Always use the moderator. You don't have to use the captcha thingy, but the moderator works well to fend of those spammy jerkos and others you just don't want around. Before you know it, they will be gone. Hope soon for you :)

    1. Thanks Kati. I have used the moderator off and on. I'll probably keep it for a bit. Although I really don't think he'll bother me much anymore .)

  11. I'm still waiting on Fidelity, too. I think I may have to call them on Monday. Don't understand why people leave jerky comments. It's really childish and not funny. Take good care!

    1. I called Fidelity on Wednesday and they told me to just wait. They said they just mailed them on the 30th and it might take time. Hmmm

  12. Oh no! You have a troll! I guess we all get one now and again. Leslie over at Time out for Mom just had one too! Maybe it's the same person. ::gasp:: Ugh. Just ignore the stupid unintelligent crap that comes your way. You are an amazing woman.

    1. No, I wouldn't call this person a troll. Just someone who doesn't share my views on life and I don't want to keep trying to help him figure it out! Thank you Jessica!

I love to hear what you might think. Leave me a comment. I guarantee though that I will delete your comment if you are just here to cause trouble. So tread lightly!
