Speaking just from my own experience ... I think our loved ones' birthdates are the hardest. I mean, people are prone to remember you on the anniversary of someone's passing, but how many remember his/her birthday? I like what Sarah Ban Breathnach writes about "Silent Anniversaries of the Heart."
Hope you don't think this sounds stupid, but I've often wondered if their (earthly) dates of death aren't now new, Heavenly birthdays. Hugs!
Yes the birthdays are hard. Both my son and all the grandchildren remembered this year. It helped me through it. Interesting idea about their Heavenly birthdays. The girls and I discussed it and Paige said...".so Papa now has two birthdays. That's cool" s
Just looking at the picture and reading your blog you can tell that Richard was very loved and taken care of. He looked happy and I am sure his spirit is still all around you. Your strength is something to be proud of!
I love to hear what you might think. Leave me a comment. I guarantee though that I will delete your comment if you are just here to cause trouble. So tread lightly!
