|I wonder if he knows what 'affordable' means|
I am not an expert on insurance. Especially medical insurance. I never had to take care of those kinds of things. And we never had a president who felt like healthcare is a right for everyone. I don't know if it should be a right for everyone. But I do know that I shouldn't be the one paying for it. I can barely take care of myself and two teenage kids. Now I am having to make that decision on whether I can afford to keep my health care coverage or just take my chances with having no health care.
Richard had everything all set up for me to receive health care from his employer until I turn 65. Which is not until 2017. Then I will take Medicare and see if I can afford the supplemental insurance to go along with it.
Yesterday I found out that as of January 1, 2015 (don't ask me why I didn't know this sooner, because I don't know) my health insurance went up $110.00 a month. That is in addition to the over one hundred dollars I was already paying. For just me. WHAT????? I am now being forced into a position to decide whether or not I can afford health care. Is this what Mr. Obama had in mind????
I may have to reassess my goals for 2015. I might have to remove Health from my list. It is looking like I am not going to be able to afford to be healthy.
Does anyone else understand what is going on? How are you dealing with the increasing cost of health care? Should all of us pay for all of those who can't pay for their own insurance? I don't know! I am asking!
