SOMETHING I SEE EVERYDAY
Here is something I see everyday at my house. The thermometer. I am going to try my very hardest this winter to keep it set at 70* so that I can keep the gas bill down. I am thankful that I have heat in my house. I cannot imagine living in a place without heat. So when I see my thermometer I will remember to be grateful.

I keep mine set on 70 and then turn on the gas fireplace.....kind of defeats the purpose LOL
ReplyDeleteWith Richard he was constantly complaining about how cold it was. So we just added another blanket on top of him. This year I hope we can keep the gas bill lower
DeleteThat is a good attitude to have, Paula, to be grateful for heat indeed! We keep it 68-69 and 66 at night. Just bundle up a lot, LOL :)

That's the idea Betty
DeleteWow, how geography changes our perspectives! Since the cost to cool our place was getting out of control, I signed us up for the energy-savings plan ... but it's killing me to keep the thermostat at 80 between Noon and 7PM. 70-degrees sounds heavenly!
ReplyDeleteMy cooling costs in the summer are pretty outrageous too!
DeleteOur gas bill is outrageous! I hate being cold and am guilty of turning the thermostat up at the first hint of cool. I have ours programmed, but often override that. I often think about the homeless and how cold it is for them. I am thankful for my warm home.
ReplyDeleteMy gas bill doesn't get near as high as my electric bill because I don't get cold very often. And when I do I just add socks and a blanket. Richard was so cold all the time and he was always getting me to turn the thermostat higher. Ours is programmable too and yes it was getting overridden a lot!
DeleteOh, to have the house at 70 degrees. Thank goodness gas is so cheap. I don't miss electric a/c and heating one little bit!
ReplyDeleteGas is a bit cheaper here. But it gets up there too in the winter time!
