click to go to challenge Today's prompt is to share a favorite picture of myself. The picture that I use on my blog (well, I just recently put it there so you all could see what I look like) |
This one.
It was taken a couple years ago.
Just right after I became a full-time, around the clock care-giver to Richard.
Before I quit coloring my hair.
Before I got to look so old looking.
And tired.
And if I am honest, then I will tell you that above picture has been touched up. But it is the best I can come up with right now.
Now I am linking up with
You look real and wise. I love that photo. xx
ReplyDeleteHa! Ha! Thank you Lisa. I love that you think I look wise.
DeleteWe'll take you.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad Wendy!
DeleteI love that photo! :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you my friend
DeleteI like that picture of you and I think it is great you post a picture of yourself on your blog; I try to avoid the camera in general. Hope those plumbing problems get fixed soon!
ReplyDeletebetty
Thanks Betty. I like the idea of being able to see who it is that I am interacting with online. Still working on the plumbing but at least we have a toilet and a shower now...
DeleteI love this picture. I remember when you added it...it made me happy!
ReplyDeleteThanks you Lisa...
DeletePopping round to let folks know that everyone who visited more then a handful of time and left comments has been added to my blog log, to share some linky love and to make visiting back and forth easier. You're one of them! And now I'm curious about the May challenge, this is the first I've seen it and it wouldn't lend itself well to my travel blog......but would help me kick start one of the other ones again into becoming active. Must check it out...thought it's already the 7th...
ReplyDeleteAnyway still blogging a-z in May, road tripping fully gassed and not stopping at any lights!
Sandy at Traveling Suitcase
It's a nice picture!
Thanks Sandy...you are on my feedly list. Just want to let you know though that when I click on 'Sandy at Traveling Suitcase' it takes me to a blog named Penchant for Pens, and when I click on your name up by your picture I get a page that says 'profile not available'...Glitches???
ReplyDeleteEvery day in May... Whew! I don't know how you can do it--especially around being a caretaker, but I'm cheering you on. I'll stop in at least once a week to see what you've put up. Yay!
ReplyDeleteIt is my writing that will keep me sane. I will appreciate any of your visits!
DeleteThat is a very nice photo of you. I can see determination and strength in your eyes.
ReplyDeleteYep, me too. I have used iPhoto to erase a tired line or two on a photo. Those are usually the ones my husband takes. You know the close ups. Geez. I have to keep telling him, “back up...no further, further...okay there.”
That made me smile. My husband had a love affair with his camera. I used to call it the 'other woman'. I would love to have him take a horrible picture of me now.
DeleteI love your picture! A picture on a blog helps me remember who is who. When I see the name of your blog in my feed, I immediately see your face in my mind's eye! Hope the plumbing issue is resolved.
ReplyDeleteThanks. That is how I feel
DeleteYou look like a strong woman, by that I mean a woman with strength of character. I still can't see how in the world you can blog every day after just finishing the challenge. I'm so darned tired, I probably will need a prompt sent to me soon because I can't think of anything much to write about. I too have only a desktop and it is located in our second bedroom. I was fortunate to inherit nice looking glass table with a shelf on top for the monitor, printer, modem and wifi router. Just enough room for all that and at the right height for me, the monitor, I mean.
ReplyDeleteThank you Inger. I don't really feel like a strong woman. There are days that I feel I am going to collapse from the load that I am carrying. But I just pick myself up and keep going. What choice do I have?
DeleteTouched up? Colored? ... so what?
ReplyDeleteI see a resolute, witty lady I'm pleased to call 'friend'!
I am pleased to have you as a friend as well Myra!
