My story is about my little grandson Tucker. He is almost 7 and just finished kindergarten. And he is so stinking cute. I'm not lying. I know that all grandma's feel that way, but if you knew Tucker you would think so too. He can be so silly and in the very next breath he is as serious as a heart attack. They just returned from a trip to Disney World on Saturday and they came over on Sunday to tell me Happy Mother's Day. Marvin, Tucker's dad, was asking me if I had found someone to paint my house. I told him that I had and how much the estimate was. Here is how the conversation then went:
Tucker: "We'll take care of that for you Grandma!"
Grandma: "you will??"
Grandma: "well where are you going to get that much money Tucker?" ($1800.00)
Tucker: looking at his dad..."Write her a check dad."
We all laughed and laughed. And Tucker was so proud of himself for making us laugh. Now I wonder if I can expect that check?

Thank you Kellie! It was darn cute. It makes me smile every time I think of it.Delete
He's cute! And smart too! I remember one time my son saying when I said I didn't have money for something "Oh just go to the bank and get some more money from that machine." He didn't realize one had to have money already in that machine :)ReplyDelete
Yep, both my sons thought just writing a check was a good idea...they didn't realize either that you had to have your own money in an account.Delete

We don't see nearly enough of Tucker and his sisters. They live close by but are very busy most of the time. He is an angel however.Delete
You know I took a close look at that picture ... Enlarged it and all. And I totally agree. It warms my heart just to look at that little guy.ReplyDelete
I am a former school teacher. Second grade. I remember thinking even then, I would have loved to have a classroom full of little boys. This little guy is an example of why I felt that way.
Thanks Elaine...yep he warms my heart too. Even when he's being a little stinker.Delete
