Dear UPS Man:

We will soon be  starting on the downside of Holidailies. It is day 14. I know I have said it before, but I will say it again, where in the world did this year go?

Today is another Grinch week question: Write a letter to the person/company/group that is annoying you this season.

Dear Mr.UPS Man:
I hate how you just walk up to the door and throw my packages on the porch. Even when I am home. And you never smile! Is that part of the season or part of the job? I can imagine how difficult your job becomes at this time of the year, but you could at least answer me when I yell 'thank you' out the door. And what if what I ordered was fragile. Would you still toss it? Or if I was gone on vacation. Would you still leave it? Anyway, this will soon be over and you can go back to the normal way of delivering my package, you know: tossing it on the front porch and walking off, with a frown!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Paula

  1. Hey, at least they deliver yours. In my case, they either don't knock and leave a note and run away, or just plain run away and leave no note, leaving me to eventually find out they left it at the post office, or god knows what. Or they just break things. UPS is eeeeevil.

  2. I am so sorry that you have both had bad experiences with the men in brown. My UPS guy is pretty good except that if I am home and the dogs are out he waits in the truck for me to come with him. I have told him the dogs are friendly but I don't think he believes me.

  3. I'm with Wendy--we have very friendly UPS people! My most recent delivery, the guy knocked and called out UPS so I knew who was at the door.

    1. I am beginning to think it might just be the UPS men in my area! Maybe I should send this letter to the local office

  4. That would drive me bonkers. Fortunately, I have a good UPS man. He rings the bell, even if he doesn't stick around to see if anyone is home. He also carries plastic cover-wrap around for when it's raining, and puts that over the packages so they don't get soaked. My *mailman,* however... Well, let's just say I was moved to send an email to USPS customer service about his constant cell phone use at the expense of timely delivery.

BTW, my cousin/god-mother's maiden name is, well, yours! She's not the one who sent the obnoxious holiday letter though. ;-)

    1. Really!! What is her first name. My last name is not the same as my husband's! It sounds like you have a very nice UPS man

  5. We have a good UPS man. Actually all our delivery folks are pleasant and careful with our packages. Now if I actually go to the brick and mortar post office, that can be a problem. They are understaffed and you wait forever to get anything done there. The people were OK ... and considering most of the customers were angry with the poor staffing and asking for the supervisor (who never showed up), I guess "ok" is all we can expect.

  6. My UPS woman is usually in her truck putting it in gear by the time the door bell is finished ringing. She is definitely a dasher. I hate when the toss my packages around and I am leery about them leaving things on my front porch this time of year.

I love to hear what you might think. Leave me a comment. I guarantee though that I will delete your comment if you are just here to cause trouble. So tread lightly!
