Day 3, Friday: Things that make you uncomfortable
I have a few things that make me uncomfortable. And I am usually pretty happy to share them with whomever will listen to me.
- Tight clothes, too big clothes, tight shoes, flip flops, swimsuits, bangs in my eyes..all uncomfortable.
- I don't like to be hot. I can't stand to be uncomfortable with heat. Going through menopause was a nightmare because I can't stand being hot. But my favorite season is summer. I know, I know. Makes no sense. But it is what it is. And I turn on the air-conditioner pretty early in the year. In fact, it is 80* here as I write this and my air-conditioner is on. So I am not hot!* (an update to this is that tonight it is supposed to be below freezing here in Kansas. This is the craziest spring ever)
- Not having full control of the situation makes me uncomfortable. I like to be in control. At work when things were chaotic, I was uncomfortable And I didn't like it. And that wouldn't make me a very fun person to work with. I like things to run smoothly. I like organization (but yet, I am so disorganized at home). I like control.
- Itching.........I can't stand to feel itchy. Winter brings out the itchies in me! Will be glad when the humidity of summer gets here.
yeah I guess tight clothes do make me uncomfortable as well..
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine that anyone wouldn't be!
DeleteTight clothes do it for me too.
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteI like to be in control too. Anxiety usually kicks up if something doesn't go as expected. Yes, being hot makes me extremely uncomfortable. Here is a weird one...anything touching my ears make me feel uncomfortable. I can wear earrings and thats it. I don't like anything else touching my ears.
ReplyDeleteI won't touch your ears!
DeleteNo menopause for me yet! Seriously I'm pushing mid 50's..I:m gonna jinx myself now and get every horrible symptom!
ReplyDeleteHave you tried oatmeal baths?
Control me? Reformed after therapy! I know I can't believe it either.
WOW! I was only 45. No I haven't tried oatmeal baths. I never take a bath. Showers only for me. Glad to hear from you
DeleteOh I can't stand to be itchy either! Mosquito bites made my list for today's challenge! :)
ReplyDeleteEva @ Snappee Turtle
I completely agree with what makes you uncomfortable, especially the bangs and the to tight of clothes!
ReplyDeleteI need to go cut my bangs right now! Maybe that is why I wrote about them
DeleteOH, I forgot all about the heat!
ReplyDeleteYes, heat! But I hate cold more!
DeleteI almost passed out at the park today it was so hot!! i normally don't mind but if i'm not wearing shorts something light i cant concentrate
ReplyDeleteWhere do you live that it is already that hot! We were below freezing here last night!
DeleteHeat yes certainly.
ReplyDeleteHere in Australia it is beginning to feel like its hot all the time.
Smoking makes me uncomfortable, I don't understand it.
Days when my hubby is home from work makes me uncomfortable;he is so in the way.
Seeing my self naked- beyond uncomfortable.
Yuck !
Yes, I agree with you about smoking! And I smoked for more than 30 years. And just wait until he retires and is home all the time. Just kidding. I am so grateful to have my husband with me! Oh and I hate seeing myself naked too!!!
DeleteTight clothes are horrible! Maybe when I was younger and had a body I was keen to show off, but now that I have had 3 ceasars and am waiting on hernia surgery..I am not at all keen to show that off. My whole wardrobe revolves around clothes that will hide my mummy tummy!

Ha! Ha! I hear that!
DeleteOMG! The control thing I am so with you on!!! Major OCD case here.
ReplyDeleteAnd the itching thing too, but thanks to Lupus I'm itching like 75% of the time between sensitive skin and the rash! lol
I am a major control freak when It comes to my own life
DeleteI'm new here and I'm dropping by from the blog everyday in may challenge. Yes, not being in control makes us go beyond our comfort zones.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to my world!
DeleteUgh, that's the worst: hot, sticky humidity is the worst! You should move to the desert! :)
