A Love Letter to a Blogging Friend

Day 5, Sunday: Publicly profess your love and devotion for one of your blogger friends. What makes them great? Why do you love them? If you don't have blogger friends, talk about a real-life friend or even a family member

Dear Lisa,

Today I am supposed to profess my love for a blogging friend. And that friend is YOU! I know we have never met. But I hope to meet you someday. I know that you probably know more about me than I know about you, but that is just the way that I am. I tell everything. I don't hold much back. It is my therapy. And over the years it has done me plenty good to get things off my chest. And your comments on my blog almost always make me feel better. And they always make me smile.

There was a period of time when you stopped blogging that I often wondered what had happened to you. I often wondered if I would know the rest of the story. I know that sometimes you were Driven to Distraction. And I hoped that you would someday come back. And then you did. I couldn't believe it that day in May, 2012, when I was reading a comment on someone else's Sunday Stealing and there was a comment by someone named Boss Nurse (much like the handle Nurse Exec). I had to meander over to the blog now known as Boss Nurse Speaks to see if it was the same person. And it was.

I am happy that you have a relationship now with your daughter. I  know that was missing from your life. And you seem so much happier and calm now. There is no longer that underlying sadness in your blog posts. And hopefully you have found a job that you will like and bring you all the satisfaction that you are searching for in your nursing career. I venture to bet that you were a kick-ass DON. One that I wish that I could have worked for. It sounds like we share the same job expectations.

And I hope your husband knows how much you love him. It is evident when you talk about him. I know that he is your best friend. He is all that you need. He is a lucky man. And he cooks too!

Now this ends my public expression of love for you, my friend, Boss Nurse. It has been fun getting to know you. I am sure that we will share many more comments in the future.

Love,

Paula

  4. I love when people write love letters to their friends. I write to mine often, and sometimes I confess my sorrow for the shortcomings I have that have kept me from being a good friend, because sometimes, humanity gets in my way, and selfishness sometimes visits my doorstep. But no matter what, my best friend always takes me back. And, more importantly, no matter what I do, how often I fail, I always know that she HAS my back! I pray she knows I value her just as much. (I'm pretty sure she does ;).
I love your post, Paula. You never gave up on reconnecting. How precious! I am sure your beautiful message blossomed Hope and Courage in Lisa's day. The smile she wears today is shining, no doubt!
    Bless you! :)

I love to hear what you might think. Leave me a comment. I guarantee though that I will delete your comment if you are just here to cause trouble. So tread lightly!
