Tidbits from my Daybook

For today...

Outside my window...it is a cloudy day, but the temperature is 69* And it is still February.

The snow is GONE.

I am thinking...that it is a real shame I have to go to work on such a nice day. But, alas, someone
has to bring home the bacon.

I am hearing...the clatter of Legos as Darian digs through his supply trying to build something.

I am thankful for...indications that spring is on it's way.

Yes!



I am wearing...my scrubs. As soon I will head off to work.
Again.

I am remembering...some beautiful sunny beaches in Venezuela when we visited there in 1996.
Amen.



I am going...to try to get my pictures on the computer organized so that I can start scanning some more in.

I am reading......Life, Love, and a Polar Bear Tattoo by Heather Wardell.


 I am reading it on my new Barnes and Nobel Color Nook that my dear son
got me for Christmas. I LOVE it



I am hoping...today and tomorrow go by smoothly so that I can enjoy my Tuesday off.
Doing laundry.


I am creating...absolutely nothing..

From the kitchen...wondering what to make for dinner this week on Tuesday and Thursday.




Around the house... the birds are at the feeders.

 And the squirrels are at it too.....had 6 of them chasing each other this morning.
And yesterday morning a flock of turkeys in the backyard. We are all yearning for spring.

FOR TODAY

Outside my window...it is dark and quiet but the snow is still melting as today was almost 70*

I am thinking...how sad I am that the weekend is over..but looking forward to another week ahead

I am thankful for...all that I have


From the kitchen...not much has been going on there. Fixed a quickie pork roast for supper tonight.

I am wearing...my jammies

I am creating...nothing now. We finished all 20 Valentine Water Bottles (see post below)

I am going...to beddie bye real soon as mornings are always too early for this old nightowl

I am reading...Something in "High Heels" on my new Nook color that I am so in love with

I am hoping...for lots more of this wonderful weather

I am hearing...dripping off the eaves of the house. There was a whale of snow up there.

Around the house...I have lots to do and I am too darn lazy

One of my favorite things...is how quiet the house is after the TV is off and the kids are in bed. I miss my alone time

A few plans for the rest of the week:school, work, wrestling matches, and basketball practice.

Here is a picture I am sharing:  I won't be unhappy to see this go. Anyone want to sit outside with me?

Valentine Love Juice

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day....We thought we would do something besides boring boxed Valentines.

I bought a case of water and packages of Hawaiian Punch Mix, some red wrapping paper and downloaded the other things from a blog that I follow TaterTots and Jello. Then Harley And I got busy with scissors, ribbon, and double sided tape and made these cute bottles of "love juice" for her to take to school tomorrow for Valentines Day......
