The Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY March 15. 2009...

Outside my window...
Outside my window it is very dark. The day is over. Not as cold and you
can feel that spring is in the air. The sky is clear and there are millions
of stars
twinkling.

I am thinking...
I am thinking of all the things I would like to accomplish this spring
and summer. It is time to make a list.

I am thankful for...
I am thankful for the peacefulness of the house tonight.

From the kitchen...
Tonight for dinner we had little smokies, mac and cheese and peas.
The little grands of mine can sure put away those little smokies.

I am wearing...
I am still wearing the clothes of the day...black slacks, black tee and my
yellow crocks

I am creating...
I am creating the beginning of the spring cleaning list in my head.

I am going...
Soon I am going to bed. Spring break is over and we are back to our routine
tomorrow.

I am reading...
I continue to read Jodi's Perfect Match.

I am hoping...
I am hoping for spring soon. I am so tired of cold weather.

I am hearing...
I am hearing the sounds of an old hoot owl that lives in a tree across
the street. The kids and I have gone out with a flashlight at night trying
to find him but we never have. We listen from the office and try to guess
where he must be.

Around the house...
I started my spring cleaning this weekend. I have completed the kitchen. It looks
so nice. All the plastics are matched up
with lids. The refrigerator sparkles and all old leftovers have been trashed. All the cabinets are washed down. Even cleaned the ceiling and the ceiling fan. Oh how good a clean kitchen feels.

One of my favorite things...
One of my favorite things to do is fire up the lawnmower, plug in the
Ipod and mow the grass. Can't wait!

A few plans for the rest of the week:
This week will be pretty routine around here...work Monday, Wednesday,
and off this week on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
If the weather stays nice I plan to cu
t back the honeysuckles and uncover a
couple of flower beds.

Here is picture thought I am sharing...
One of my favorite pictures of my granddaughter Piper. She has a band aid on
her chin from a cut that required stitches. She is just too stinking cute.
Please, if you want to do your own Daybook, go here.
And tell Peggy I sent you.

  1. Cute pic! I enjoyed reading your daybook. I'm hoping for an early spring, too. Have a great week!
