Dear Friday

Dear Friday:
I cannot believe it is already Friday. Seems like I opened my eyes yesterday on a bright Sunday morning and this morning it is Friday. The summer is flying by and I don't know what I have done all summer. But Friday, be good to us, and we will enjoy you before you leave us.

Dear Mother Nature:

Yes, it is summer. And hot. And humid. And I love you the most. But I am ready for a break. Looking forward to next week when our temps will be dipping into the upper 70's and low 80's. What?? Yep, that's what the weatherman is saying.

Dear Harley:

My gosh girl you are keeping me busy. We are getting ready for the Senior year. Senior pictures, clothes shopping, school supply shopping, enrollment, practicing for the written driving test. Whew! I am exhausted just reading about it. And then there is making time for the boyfriend! (hers, not mine). Let's let time slow down a bit and schedule a movie night together. What do you say?

Dear Blog family and friends:

I have been neglecting this place. I need to get a broom and sweep out the cobwebs and make it sparkle again. I will get back on schedule soon and keep you up to date with what is going on in our lives. What have all of you been doing this summer? I miss you all.

Love,

Paula

  2. Forget about the wrinkles, I'd given anything to have teenagers' energy once more!
Crazy, but this year's heat hasn't affected me as I feared. You n' me, cracks me up how we're polar opposites on our fav seasons!

It's really good to 'see' you again!

    1. She's really not that energetic Myra. And she sleeps a lot. This girl needs at least 10 hours a night not to turn into a witch. Yep I am a summer loving girl. But this year seems to be brutal!

  3. Looking in this morning and seeing you hadn't update was the reason for the text message seeing if you had left us hanging. Back to normal now maybe!!

  4. I did forget Harley was a senior this year! How exciting!! So much activities in the year ahead! I did notice you weren't updating as much as usual, but I think little breaks sometimes are good for us. Honestly, I sit down to work at 9:30 a.m. on Monday morning and I blink and its Friday already. Where does the time go? Step granddaughter spent summer with her dad in New York; left around Memorial Day, coming back August 1st. It just seemed like she left!

  6. Three of my grands are also going to be seniors this year! It is such an exciting time for them all. The weather here has turned to mid 70's and low 80's and I'm loving it. These temps are wonderful. Hope you enjoy the rest of your summer. It is fast fleeting and soon fall will be here.

  7. Well, summer is the time to enjoy Picnics, pools, and the flowers, so who can blame you. And now, comes the Fall, time to enjoy leaf peeping, and nice long walks. Enjoyment is the key!

  10. I'm so ready for cooler temps too. I can't take the humidity at all. Plus we're in our raining season.

  12. I've been neglecting my blog for a LONG time. I just can't seem to give it up completely for some reason. We'll see if I get reinspired to blog regularly again..
I still enjoy popping over to your blog and catching up on your life.. always interesting.
It's super hot and dry in our corner of the world this summer(south central BC) and with the wildfires happening in several places, there's a bit of unease as well.
Just got back from our annual extended family campout. Always a GREAT time! Summer goes by much too fast! Let me know if you figure out how to slow time down a bit! ;)

  13. I think we have all been equally as busy this summer Paula. It will be nice to have life slow down a bit so we can reconnect on a regular basis. As you know, I am leaving for a cruise in the morning and I refuse to sign up for internet service. I really need to unplug and just relax. I will be in touch when we get home. Have a great first full week of August.
