What Color is Thursday's Question??

I am ready for fall! Are you? I did not do much of any of my list of things to do this past summer. I think I need to quit making lists of things to do. I don't know what is the matter with me. I have become very lazy! Indifferent! Lackadaisical! Not sure what to call it.

But on to the Thursday Question! What is color of your front door? Or what color would you like for it to be? Mine is close to 410F-5 Boston Fern.

I can't wait to hear what
color your front door is!!

  1. Mine is a beautiful deep burgundy called Merlot! I loved it when I painted it 5 years ago and I love it still today!

  2. I have always got so many lists going. I try to do a bit of things each day - but lately, my mood has been blah and the list is getting bigger and bigger, with less things undone! But they will get done - eventually...maybe... ha!
My front door is a medium gray - and I've been wanting to repaint it for years and years. I want to go with either red or purple - my first choice would be the purple!!

  3. The front door at the old house was dusk grey, with an oval window, top to bottom. The storm door was completely glass, framed in burgundy. I loved it. The animals loved it; they could always see out at their level. My new house has standard white door and two pane storm, top and middle. The cat misses the bottom pane, and I'm thinking about making a change.

    1. My doors are solid too! But I have windows in the dining room that go clear to the floor. And a huge bay window in the reading room!

  4. Brown...boring brown...required by the townhome association. I get it. It's earthy. I add BIG wreaths or banners to get some color and there's my friendly "No Soliciting" sign, which should really say "No soliciting and NO Leafleting!!!", but if I could be so rebellious as to paint my door, I would go with deer hunter orange for about a week or thirteen, then bring it back into compliance with...brown. ;-)

    1. Wreaths and banners would help brighten it. If you decide to go rouge please send pictures! LOL!!

  5. Your front entry looks calming -- and pretty inviting at the same time!
You know, I've NO IDEA what color's our front door!?! (Betty, help me out here?)
We always come through the garage.

If I were to bet, it's some unimaginative HOA-approved brown. I do like the idea of Jeanette's deep burgundy.

    1. We come in through the garage too. But we go in and out of the front door a lot too! I like the idea of deep burgundy as well!

  6. Your entrance looks lovely. Shades of Boston Fern have become very popular in the area I live in but our door is a deep red. Burgundy/Crimson.

  9. My front door is made of wood and so it's brown, but it's not painted, varnished instead letting the wood grain show through. One thing I love about my old house is the beautiful wood work here. I don't know if I've ever seen a green door before, but your door and your fall decorations are beautiful.

    1. Solid wood front doors are gorgeous. I can't believe you have never seen a green door. They are popular here.

    1. You should paint it. Very simple to do and leaves much impact. Thank you for your compliments.

  11. My front door is Cherokee Red, Frank Lloyd Wright's signature color. I had it custom mixed. Sadly, it is fading, and I should probably repaint it next year.

  13. Mine's brown, but you can't really see it past the metal screen that is usually the only thing locked (the front door remains open most of the time). My last place, the front door was red.
