We Must Never Forget

I cannot believe it has been 15 years since the United States of America was forever changed. And yet again it seems like it happened forever ago. I wrote about my memories of that day here if you are interested in seeing what I was doing the day the 'towers came down'. It is this picture I will always think of on that terrible day. I cannot imagine how President Bush kept his composure after learning the unbelievable news of planes flying into the World Trade Center. His memories of that day and the days to follow probably trump any of our memories.

We must never forget!

  2. Such an enormous act of evil. I'm certain there were countless selfless acts of courage in the moments following the crashes...and many acts that are not recorded anywhere here on Earth because some who helped also perished. God Bless the USA!

    1. I know I can hardly believe it myself. Paige was just a mere one year old! And now she drives her own car!

  4. Reading your recollections, I felt I was right there with you ... with goosebumps.
I wonder if this isn't how my parents felt when they heard the news of Pearl Harbor?

  5. It's amazing to think that most of the kiddos I see on a daily basis were either too young to understand or not even born yet.

    1. We were talking about that at our house tonight. Probably most everyone from ages 19 and down won't remember! And we will never forget!

  6. It's hard to believe 15 years have gone by. I remember that morning, hearing the news as I got ready for work. What a shock that was. My folks and I were talking about where we were when we heard the news. I think everybody remembers what they were doing when they heard the news. That's one memory that will never fade.
    May we never forget!

  7. I just watched the video of when President Bush was at the WTC rubble and he said that the people who knocked these buildings down will hear from all of us real soon. Gives me chills even today. One of his finest moments I have to say.

  8. It won't be forgotten any more than Pearl Harbor has been forgotten.
