Throwback Thursday

There is just something about old pictures, isn't there? This picture is taken at my Grandmother's house somewhere in the late 1950's. I am that cute little thing right there on the front row on the right. Next to me is brother Fred, brother Chuck and my sister Claudia. On the back row directly behind me is my Mom holding my youngest brother Rich. Besides my grandmother and grandfather the rest are aunts and uncles and cousins. There are also some step-children to one of my aunts in this picture. Do you love finding and looking at old pictures? What do you do with them? Is there a certain person in your family who is more into the old pictures than others are?

I am linking up with Being a Wordsmith for Throwback Thursday. Come join us!

  1. I love old family pictures and for a long time posted them on my blog every now and then. I should continue that, it was fun. Are you making a face here? So cute.

    1. It does look like I am making a face, doesn't it. Sadly I don't remember this day at all. I do think it was taken just before my dad committed suicide. We were living with grandmother at this point

    1. I love them as well Jessica. If I know who is in them. So many of the pictures I have are not marked with anything that makes me recognize people.

    1. It is really very easy with my combination printer, copier, scanner!

  4. My sister is the keeper of all old photos and her memory banks are more accurate than mine. Old photos make me so sad, instead of happy. Too many bad memories associated with them (in MY case), and usually - since everyone is dead, I avoid them and am happy to leave them in my sister's care.

    1. I can see how that would be true. Often times they make me sad too!

  5. What a great picture of your family, Paula! You were cute in it! I do like to look at old pictures and just imagine what people must have been thinking or doing in their lives when the picture was being taken. My sister has a lot of my mom's old pictures since my mom lived with her before she passed, she hopes one day to make copies of them and send them to my brother and me :)

  6. What a great family photo. And you . . . so little there in the corner! So cute! I am the old photo lover in my family and photo detective, too. But when I identify an ancestor, I send digital copies to my siblings so we all have the same information.

I love to hear what you might think. Leave me a comment. I guarantee though that I will delete your comment if you are just here to cause trouble. So tread lightly!
