HOME

This is my home. I have hung my hat here for almost 27 years. That is a long time to live in one house, don't you think. I'll probably continue to call it home for a few more years, until after the kids finish high school, and then I will look to downsize.  I am grateful we have a nice home and we have NO mortgage!

WELCOME TO MY HOME

  1. It looks like a very nice home, Paula! It is unusual to find someone that has lived in a house that long! Hubby's parents lived in the house we are living in now for 32 years but had moved around a lot before that. I guess they finally found a place to settle in. It is a good feeling indeed not to have a mortgage!

    1. Thank you Betty. It is the longest I have ever lived in a house. You are right about it being unusual. One of my granddaughters is 14 and she has already lived in 11 different houses. And the two who live with me....we couldn't even count how many they have lived in

  3. What a comfy porch and setting. Betty is right, you are lucky to have lived in one spot for so long. I always moved, so its hard to tell where is home.

  5. No mortgage sounds heavenly! (Of course that didn't happen without much hard work and forethought!)
This shade of green (sage?) seems soothing, almost. Nice to come home to!

    1. It is Sage Green! I love it! I still need to paint the back door and decide if I'm going to do that 'thingy' above the bedroom windows. But probably won't have to worry about that until spring.

  6. I like your house. I can see why you’ve called it home for such a long time. The longest I lived in one house was 27 years. We have been in our current place for 12 years and will probably stay here for the duration.
