Nothing about ladders Scare us!

We spent all day outside working...well, Harley and I did! Papa sat in his wheelchair, wrapped in a blanket, supervising us! Today's #30summerdays prompt is:

Friday the 13th! Are you superstitious and ducking for cover, or out and about?

Nothing would make us duck for cover. Not on Friday the 13th. Harley even stared down the face of danger with this over 100 year old ladder that belonged to Richard's dad.

She looks a bit afraid, doesn't she?

  1. I'm not particularly superstitious, but I do have a healthy dislike for ladders.
Shoot, the way they built things 100 years ago is probably sturdier and safer anything mass-produced these days. (Or made in China?)
Happy to hear Richard felt well enough to come outside and enjoy the sun!

    1. It's pretty wobbly! I am happy he went out today too. I hope it is not the last day I get him out there.

  2. I'm not superstitious either, 13 is my lucky number just to turn my nose at all those people who are. That ladder reminds me of one we used growing up, I don't think it was 100 years old, but it was up there.

    1. Ha! Ha! That ladder belonged to Richard's father who was a contractor/carpenter. Richard is 81 so I am just guessing it is probably around 100 years old. Not the most sturdy thing around but it works

  3. I am so glad that Richard was able to join you outside today. The weather turned Fall like here in Michigan today.

  4. Glad your hubby could get outside and enjoy the summer weather! Wow, a 100 year old ladder; looks like it is in pretty good shape too! Not superstitious here, but do feel a bit awkward on ladders for some reason :)

  5. Maybe she just looked afraid because she had the sun in her eyes.

    1. That could be......she didn't like climbing it to do chores for me. But I told better her that falls off than me...I am the caretaker of the family
